Terms of Service

The terms that govern Write Your Books.

Last updated · October 10, 2026

Please read these Terms carefully. Anyone, anywhere, is welcome to read our free content. Our community, courses and any paid membership run on Skool under Skool's own terms (Section 4). Section 19 contains a BINDING ARBITRATION AGREEMENT and a CLASS ACTION WAIVER that affect your legal rights.

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding legal agreement between you and Winterwolf Worlds LLC, a Nevada limited liability company that operates the Write Your Books brand, the website at writeyourbooks.com, and all related pages, features, author pages, directories and services (collectively, the “Site”). “We,” “us,” and “our” mean Winterwolf Worlds LLC. “You” means you, the person using the Site. By accessing or using the Site, submitting an author page request, submitting content, or contacting us, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. What Write Your Books Is

Write Your Books is a writing-education brand and author community. We publish free writing tips, run a learning community and courses, and give members a place to show their books through an author page on this Site. Our community, courses and any paid membership are hosted on Skool, a third-party platform, under Skool's own terms and privacy policy. What you read here is educational and general in nature.

3. No Guarantees, and Nothing Here Is Professional Advice

Writing and publishing are hard, and results vary from person to person. We do not promise that you will finish a book, get published, sell copies, or earn any particular income, and nothing on this Site is a guarantee of any outcome. Our tips, courses and community are education and encouragement, not a promise of success.

Nothing on this Site is legal, financial, tax, medical, or mental-health advice, and nothing here is a substitute for a qualified professional who knows your situation. Any use of AI writing tools we teach or mention is optional, and you remain responsible for your own work and for keeping it yours.

4. The Community, Courses, and Membership Run on Skool

Our community, our courses, and any paid membership tiers run on Skool. When you join, create an account, pay, or take a course, that part of your relationship is with Skool and is governed by Skool's terms and privacy policy, and your billing, renewal and cancellation are handled there, not on this Site. Membership tiers, what they include, and their prices are shown inside the community; please check the community and Skool for current pricing and terms. We may add, change, or stop offering courses and membership tiers at any time. Any benefit you have already received stays yours; what you lose on cancellation is future benefits, not past ones.

5. Eligibility, Age, and Where We Operate

Everyone is welcome to read our free writing tips and browse the Site. You must be at least 18 years old to submit an author page request, submit content, join our community, or contact us. Our forms require you to confirm that you are 18 or older before they will submit, and if you do not confirm it we collect nothing from you at all.

Our community and any paid membership run on Skool and are subject to Skool's own rules, including any requirements about where you live. We operate from the United States. The Site is hosted and operated from the United States, and any information you give us is stored and processed there. If you use the Site from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your local law. Wherever you live, we will honor any request you make under our Privacy Policy, without asking you to prove where that is.

6. Author Pages

An author page is a benefit for members of the Write Your Books community. When you request one, you ask us to build and host a page for you on this Site and to list you in our author directory.

  • Your work stays yours. You keep ownership of your books, text, images and other material. You give us permission to show them on your author page and in our directory while your page is live. That includes your name or pen name, your photo and likeness, your bio, your book covers, and your website, social, video and audio links.
  • You confirm you have the rights. You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, everything you send us, including photos, covers, text, videos and audio.
  • What we may do. We may edit your text for length or format so it fits your page, and we may decline, change, or remove a page or anything on it, including anything unlawful, misleading, hateful, or not suitable for a general audience.
  • What a page is not. An author page is a member benefit, not a paid advertisement, and it is not an endorsement by Winterwolf Worlds LLC of you or your books.
  • You can ask us to update or remove your page at any time through the community. Please also read our Author Page Agreement, which forms part of these Terms for author pages.

7. Ownership of Site Content

All Site content — including the artwork, graphics, text, designs, logos, and trademarks we provide — is owned by or licensed to us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Using the Site does not transfer any intellectual-property right to you, and does not give you any right to reproduce, license, or commercially exploit our content.

You may not copy for redistribution, reproduce commercially, distribute, modify, publish, display publicly, perform, sell, license, scrape, or data-mine Site content, you may not create derivative works from it, and you may not use it to train any machine-learning or artificial-intelligence system, without our prior written permission. This does not limit your rights in your own work that you submitted.

8. Limited License and Acceptable Use

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. You agree not to: misuse or interfere with the Site or its security; attempt unauthorized access to any system or account; introduce viruses or harmful code; use bots, scrapers, or automated means except standard search indexing; impersonate anyone; harass, threaten, or harm others; infringe anyone's rights; violate any law; or use the Site in any way that could damage or overburden it. We may investigate and take any action we consider appropriate, including removing content and suspending or terminating access.

9. Your Submissions and Author Page Content

You may send us material for your author page, or send us questions, comments, reviews, or other material (“Submissions”). This Section governs all of it.

You keep ownership. You continue to own whatever you send us. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable license to use, reproduce, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, publicly display and perform, and create derivative works from your Submission, in any medium, in connection with Write Your Books and our business, including promotion — while your page is live for author page content, and as reasonably needed otherwise.

Your promises. You confirm that the Submission is yours, that you have the right to grant this license, that it does not infringe anyone's rights or breach any law, and that it contains nothing unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or obscene. Do not send us anyone else's work.

No confidentiality and no obligation. If you send us an idea or suggestion, you agree that we owe you nothing in respect of it and remain free to develop anything similar independently. We may refuse, edit, or remove any Submission at any time.

10. Email and Messages

If you submit an author page request or contact us, we may email you about it — to ask questions, let you know your page is live, or answer you. That is not marketing. Our newsletter and community updates live inside the Write Your Books community on Skool, and joining them is never a condition of anything free. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and it works. If we ever offer text or SMS messages, you will be asked to opt in separately and expressly, and consent to marketing messages is never a condition of anything.

11. Third-Party Platforms and Links

The Site links to and relies on third-party platforms — including Skool for our community, courses and membership, and the stores an author links to, such as Amazon and other booksellers. Where you join, buy, or interact through one of those, your contract is with that platform, not with us, and that platform's terms, payment handling, cancellation, and refund policies govern. These Terms still govern your use of this Site.

Affiliate links. Some links on this Site, in our community and in our courses are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission from the seller, at no extra cost to you. It never changes the price you pay. We only point you to tools and resources we think are useful for writers, and you are always free to buy elsewhere or not at all.

12. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to run the Site and may share information with them so they can provide those services on our behalf:

  • GoHighLevel / LeadConnector — our website, forms, contact records, and the built-in page analytics that come with the platform.
  • Cloudflare — provides the domain name service and security that sit in front of our site, so our web traffic passes through Cloudflare. Its analytics count page views and use no cookies.
  • Google Fonts — serves the typefaces this Site uses; your browser requests them from Google when a page loads.
  • Skool — hosts our community, courses, and membership, under its own terms and privacy policy.
  • MXroute — hosts the mailbox that receives replies to our address.
  • The stores and platforms an author links to from their page.

We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, their content, availability, security, or privacy practices, and your use of them may be governed by their own terms and policies.

13. Intellectual Property Complaints (DMCA)

We respect intellectual-property rights. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice through our contact route, or in writing to the postal address in Section 23, with: your contact information; identification of the copyrighted work; identification and location of the allegedly infringing material; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act; and your signature. We may remove material and terminate repeat infringers.

14. Accessibility

We want the Site to be usable by everyone, including people with disabilities, and we work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1 Level AA as our target standard, adopting newer guidance over time. Accessibility is an ongoing effort and some content may not yet be fully conformant. If you have difficulty using any part of the Site, or need content in another format or another reasonable accommodation, tell us and we will work in good faith to help.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site, all content, author pages, and all features are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and security. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any content will be accurate or reliable. You use the Site at your own risk. Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Winterwolf Worlds LLC and its owners, members, managers, employees, contractors, partners, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Site, any author page, or any content, or relating to these Terms, even if advised of the possibility.

Without limiting the foregoing, we are not liable for: any failure of a third-party service, store, or platform, including Skool; the conduct of any other user; or any result, or absence of result, you experience from using what we teach. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Site or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Winterwolf Worlds LLC and its owners, members, managers, employees, contractors, partners, licensors, and service providers from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your author page, any Submission you make, any information you provide us, your violation of these Terms or any law, or your infringement of any third party's rights.

18. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, or remove an author page, at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including any violation of these Terms. On termination, the license in Section 8 ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — including Sections 3, 7, 9, and 15 through 23 — survive.

19. Binding Arbitration and Class Action Waiver

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

Agreement to arbitrate. You and we agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Site, any author page, these Terms, our Privacy Policy, or our relationship (a “Dispute”) will be resolved by final and binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except as provided below. This agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.

How arbitration works. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be seated in Nevada or, at your election, conducted by telephone, video, or written submissions, or in the county where you live. The arbitrator decides all issues, except that a court may decide whether the class action waiver below is enforceable.

Class action and jury waiver. You and we agree that each may bring claims against the other only in an individual capacity, and NOT as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims or preside over any class or representative proceeding. YOU AND WE WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.

Exceptions. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court if it qualifies, and either party may seek injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual-property rights.

30-day right to opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days after you first accept these Terms by telling us in writing to the postal address in Section 23, giving your name and a statement that you opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, Section 20 governs your Disputes. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.

Survival. This Section survives termination of your relationship with us.

20. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms and any Dispute are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, wherever you are located. For any matter not subject to arbitration, you and we consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Nevada. Nothing in this Section removes any protection given to you by the mandatory law of the country in which you live that cannot be excluded by agreement.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version and updating the “Last updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice, such as by email or a notice on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

22. General

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Author Page Agreement, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Site and supersede prior agreements. If any provision is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them, including in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Section headings are for convenience only.
