Privacy Policy

How Write Your Books handles your information.

Last updated · October 10, 2026

The short version: we collect what you type into our forms — mostly to build and show your author page, and to answer you. We do not sell your information, and we do not follow you around the internet. The longer version is below.

1. Who We Are

Write Your Books is published by Winterwolf Worlds LLC, a Nevada limited liability company, which is responsible for the information described in this policy. Winterwolf Worlds also publishes other work by Laura Cristina Cantu. This policy covers writeyourbooks.com and its connected features, including author pages and our author directory.

How to reach us: write to us at [email protected], or through the Write Your Books community. Formal notices may also be sent by post:

2. What We Collect

If you request an author page

  • Your name or pen name, and your email address — entered by you on the request form.
  • The content for your page — your author photo, bio, genre, book titles, descriptions, buy links, covers, latest release, your website and newsletter links, social links, and any video or audio links you choose to include.
  • Your Skool profile — so we can check your level in the community.
  • Your confirmations — that you are 18 or older, that you agree to our Terms of Service and Author Page Agreement, and that you own or have the rights to everything you send, together with when you confirmed them.

Most of what you send for an author page is published. Your author page and directory listing are public by design — that is the point of them. Please send only what you are happy to show the world. See Section 6.

If you contact us

  • Your name, email address, and your message, so we can answer you and keep a record of the conversation. Contacting us does not subscribe you to anything.

Our community and courses

Our community, courses, and any paid membership run on Skool. What you give to Skool — your account, any payment, your activity there — is collected by Skool under Skool's own privacy policy, not this one. Payment is handled by Skool and its payment processor; we never receive or store your card number.

If you are under 18

Nothing. Every form requires you to confirm that you are 18 or older before it will submit. If you do not confirm it, the form does not submit, and nothing you typed is recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.

Whenever anyone visits

Our hosting, website, security, and font providers keep ordinary technical and analytics information, such as browser type, device type, operating system, referring pages, pages visited, approximate location derived from an IP address, and cookie or similar technology information. This tells us that a page was popular. It does not build a profile of you, and it is not used to advertise to you elsewhere.

3. How We Use Information

  • To build, host, and update your author page and directory listing;
  • To check your level in the community so we know which page you qualify for;
  • To answer messages you send us;
  • To operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site;
  • To understand site traffic and how pages perform, using basic analytics;
  • To protect rights, safety, and the integrity of our systems; and
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

4. Consent

When you submit an author page request, your consent is the set of confirmations you ticked on the form — that you are 18 or older, that you agree to our Terms of Service and Author Page Agreement, and that you own or have the rights to what you send — together with our record of when you ticked them. Nothing on our forms is pre-selected for you.

Our newsletter and community updates are part of the Write Your Books community on Skool, and joining them is never a condition of getting anything free. You can leave the community, or unsubscribe from any marketing email, at any time.

5. Children

Write Your Books is for adults who want to write books. Anything on the internet can be found by anyone, so every form requires you to confirm that you are 18 or older before it will submit. A visitor who does not confirm it cannot submit the form, so we collect nothing from them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us with personal information, tell us and we will delete it promptly.

6. Your Author Page Is Public

We will say this plainly, because it matters. An author page exists to be seen. The name, photo, bio, books, and links you send us are published on writeyourbooks.com and in our author directory, and search engines may find and index them.

You can ask us to update or remove your page at any time, through the community or by writing to us, and we will. After we remove something, please understand that copies may linger for a while in places beyond our control, such as search-engine caches and anyone who saved the page, until those update on their own.

7. Service Providers and Third Parties

We use third-party services to run the Site and may share information with them so they can provide those services on our behalf:

  • GoHighLevel / LeadConnector — our website, forms, contact records, email delivery, and the built-in page analytics that come with the platform.
  • Cloudflare — provides the domain name service and security protection that sit in front of our site, so our web traffic passes through Cloudflare. Its analytics count page views for us; they use no cookies and do not track visitors across other websites.
  • Google Fonts — serves the typefaces this Site uses. When a page loads, your browser requests the fonts from Google, which receives the request and your IP address for that purpose. This is the only part of our Site that touches Google.
  • Skool — hosts our community, courses, and membership, under its own privacy policy.
  • MXroute — hosts the mailbox that receives replies to our address.
  • The stores and platforms an author links to from their page, such as Amazon and other booksellers.

These providers process information on our behalf and under our instructions. We do not control every feature or practice of a third-party service, and their own terms and privacy policies may also apply.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not run advertising trackers. We do not use the Meta pixel, Google Analytics, or any other advertising or social-media tracking pixel on this Site. We may disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect rights and safety, to investigate misuse of the Site, or in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, tags, and logs for basic site functions, security, preferences, and simple traffic analytics. We do not use cookies or pixels for advertising, retargeting, or cross-site profiling. Some links on this Site, in our community and in our courses are affiliate links. When you click one, the store or platform you visit may use its own cookies to record that you came from us, so it can credit us for a purchase. That happens on their site, under their own privacy policy. Your browser settings may allow you to limit cookies, although some parts of the Site may not work properly as a result.

9. Email Choices

You may unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email. We may still send non-marketing messages when necessary to administer your author page request, answer you, or address legal or security matters.

10. Security and Retention

We use reasonable measures designed to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, to keep your author page live, to meet legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. When you ask us to remove your author page, we remove the published content and keep only what we reasonably need for our records. Records of the confirmations you gave us, including when you gave them, are retained for as long as we rely on them and for a reasonable period afterwards.

11. Your Choices and Requests

You may contact us to:

  • Ask what information we hold about you;
  • Correct it if it is wrong;
  • Ask us to delete it;
  • Ask for a copy of it; or
  • Stop receiving marketing email, immediately and without explanation.

Write to us at [email protected] and say it is a privacy request so it reaches the right place. We may need to verify your request, and we will respond within 30 days. We may retain certain information where permitted or required by law, for security, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, or legitimate operational purposes.

12. Where We Operate

Everyone is welcome here. Wherever you live, you may read our free writing tips and browse the Site. Our community and courses run on Skool and are subject to Skool's own terms.

Your information is held in the United States. This Site is operated from the State of Nevada, and information you give us is stored and processed in the United States by the providers listed in Section 7. If you are outside the United States, please understand that United States privacy law differs from the law where you live, and that by giving us your information you are asking us to hold it here.

We honor requests from everyone, everywhere. Whatever country or state you live in, you may make any of the requests listed in Section 11, and we will honor them on the same terms as we would for anyone else — without asking you to prove where you live, and without requiring you to cite a particular law.

We do not profile you. We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not use it for targeted advertising, and we do not track your behavior across other websites, as those terms are used in United States state privacy laws and elsewhere. What we collect is what you typed into a form, plus ordinary traffic figures.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy by posting a revised version on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects what we do with information you have already given us, we will tell you by email. Your continued use of the Site after an update means the revised policy applies going forward.
